I hope my guide helps you learn at least the basics of how to do the brand new Hunting Skill !!!
~Skill Fury~
(-) The Equipment (-)
The quickest way to do this would be to buy a Ring of Dueling and teleport to Castle Wars. Work your way over to Yanille, also known as “The city with the Mage Guild”! ( To get there from Castle wars, you go: South over the bridge, over to the giants, go north around the river ( or hill, not sure ), and then enter the gates of the City. ( There will be a crowd to follow, don’t worry )
-()- FIVE(5) Bird Snares
-()- Noose Wand -this is a must!-
-()- Butterfly Net
-()- TEN(10) Butterfly Jars
-()- Teasing Stick ( In case you don’* want to follow the guide )
-()- FIVE(5) Box Traps
-()- Magic Box
Congratulations! This should be all you will need! If I missed anything, or suggested getting too little of any items, please alert me.
(-) Where do I go?!?! (-)
From Yanille, you work your way to seers village. You should know where this is! ( The Flax Place ). If not, teleport to Draynor, go to Falador, head North till you reach White Wolf Mountain. Go through the mountain and then you will arrive at Catherby! Follow the road till you reach seers village!
Once you get to seers village, you will follow the North road, the one by the bank. When you reach a split in the road ( two diff. ways to go ), take the western road.
After following this road for a while, you will reach a bridge, cross the bridge and follow the road a bit more. When you get to the gates to enter the City of Rellekka, ( The Fremmy Trials place) go East, DO NOT ENTER THE CITY!
Go north-east until you reach the Rock Crabs. If you go ALL THE WAY North-East, you should see a small strip of whitened land. Go on this and head north.
You will now be in a hunting area, but not the correct place! Head north for a while until you can’t anymore. There should then be an area on the wall, that looks like steps made of ice, that says “Ascend”. Go up and you have reached the first training area!
(-) How to trap... (-)
Ok, this may get confusing, so take it a step at a time…
First, you inspect a HOLE! If you search something else, you won’t start training…
After inspecting the hole, tracks should appear. Follow them to their ending point. Click to *search” places around the place that it ended at.
Say you started at the Hole, the trail led to a hollow log. You would then Inspect all the items around the hollow log until you get a message saying the animal seems to have been through the area. New tracks will then appear.
If the tracks lead to a tunnel, you will only have to inspect the other two tunnels to find the new tracks. There is a tunnel at the top, near all the birds. And the other two tunnels are close to each other at the bottom of the block of snow.
You will continue doing this, but every time the trail leads to a Snow Drift, click to attack the snow drift. If you get nothing, you continue searching the items around it until you get new tracks.
If you catch the prey there, some Fur, Meat, and Bones should appear in your inventory. You then start again.
(-) Experience per hunted NpC (-)
( only for the NpC’s I suggest in my guide )
Polar Kebbit – 30Xp per – Level 1 Required
Cerulean twitch – 64Xp per – Level 11 Required
Copper longtail – 62Xp per – Level 9 Required
Ruby harvest – 24Xp per – Level 15 Required
Sapphire glacialis – 34Xp per – Level 25 Required
Snowy knight – 44Xp per – Level 35 Required
Barbtailed kebbit – 168Xp per – Level 33 Required
Spotted kebbit – 104Xp per – Level 43 Required
Dark Kebbit – 132Xp per – Level 57 Required
Dashing Kebbit – 156Xp per – Level 69 Required
(-) LEVELS 1-11 (-)
Trap animals as said above.
This should take a while, hunting skill requires patience.
(-) LEVELS 11-15 (-)
Congratulations, you can now catch the birds that are located in the snow area. To do this, take a Bird Snare and set it up near a bird. Go track one animal and then return, you may or may not have successfully trapped a bird.
Either way, take down the trap and set it up again. As you are gaining experience for catching birds, and gaining experience for trapping the animals, you should be to 15 in no time!
(-) LEVELS 15-25 (-)
It’s time to move…on this trip you will need to take your Butterfly Net ( Wield ), 16 Butterfly Jars, and 2 Bird Snares. Travel to the Woodland hunting area, located NorthWest of the Gnome Stronghold. Use the World Map if you need further instruction.
Set up a Bird Snare near some birds and leave for 20seconds AT THE MOST.
The reason you shouldn’t leave for too long is that if your trap collapses and you don’t get there in time, somebody may steal your trap.
During those 20 seconds, catch red butterflies. This gives you more experience and is pretty easy if you put run on. Just be sure to remember where you set up your trap.
At level 20 – you can now set up TWO(2) traps! Increased experience!
(-) LEVELS 25-30 (-)
Go back to the Ice area, the first area you were in! Set up TWO(2) Bird Snares!
Run around with your Butterfly Net and catch the Blue Butterflies! After a while you should be level 30! Keep doing this until level 35!
(-) LEVELS 35-38 (-)
Use the Ice area to Snare 2 birds at a time, and catch all the butterflies that you can. This will definitely help you get to 38 quickly.
(-) LEVELS 38-57 (-)
Now, your probably thinking I’m crazy when I say you will be using this one method until 57 Hunter. It is the quickest method I have used so far, very quick experience. You need an axe and a knife. Head to the Feldip Hunter area, WAY south of Yanille.
Find a boulder that has the option to “set-trap” and nobody is using it. This will require you to have a knife and some logs. There are many trees around, and that’s why you brought your axe!
When a Barb-Tailed Kebbit trips your trap, “search” the trap and then re-set the trap. You should get some bones and a Barb-Tailed Harpoon.
Using this method, I get an EASY 500Xp per minute, on a good day. It’s incredible!
The reason I don’t suggest Falconry until higher up is that there are MANY people there, and you only get around 1 Kebbit per minute. Plus, when you do get to send your falcon after a Kebbit, you usually miss. You need a higher hunter level…
(-) HIGHER LEVELS (-)
Well, congrats. You can now hunt Dark Kebbits. These give a nice sum of experience and are not usually crowded. Stand by a place where they respawn and let the experience roll in. At level 66, I suggest stopping and taking a break. Go show off that Spottier Cape and enjoy your level 66 Hunter.
(-) Clothing (-)
Wearing clothing that is made at the place you are training is a big advantage. It makes you camouflaged with the land, so animals do not see you and become aware that you are a hunter. Here I will post the clothing you should use for each area.

I hope you understand the basics of hunting and how to do it. Please post if the guide help you! Any suggestions are welcome! If you ask me a question, I will answer to the extent of what I know. If I have no idea, I will reply “no idea”.
